Lets traverse the culinary world of Nagoya sampling exciting flavors and creating connections through food! Nagoya meshi, which roughly translates to “Nagoya food” or “Nagoya cuisine”. It’s a way of acknowledging the city’s unique regional cuisine regarded as one of the best in Japan. It is characterized by its use of local vegetables and ingredients and the melding of foreign influences.
Yamato-E is a style of Japanese painting that first flourished during Japan's Heian period. Members learn various painting techniques and have opportunities to learn about Japanese culture reflected in the paintings. Learn a very authentic Japanese art. Painting themes are various from seasonal events such as ‘Hinamatsuri’ to people’s activities in and around Heiankyo(Kyoto) in the Heian Period. It must be exciting to explore how to use brushes and to do coloring with special pigments called ‘Gansai’.

Kimekomi dolls are a traditional Japanese craft that originated in the 18th century at Kyoto’s Kamigamo Shrine. This delicate art form began when Takahashi Tadashige, a shrine craftsman, used leftover kimono fabric to dress hand-carved wooden dolls.
